The last catch on the Homestead Sub in 2012 has the first boxcar GEVO in South Florida. 3014 leads a nice looking K996 which would go north the next day. The light arrangement is interesting. This catch was also fairly early, before 7pm. If I didn't head to Knaus Berry Farm, I'd miss it. |

Formal shot. Rare daylight nb rock train emerging from the Homestead - and get this, the Lehigh Spur. The Lehigh has not been mining rock to the capacity it did years back and only shipped a handful of unit trains in 2012. Even fewer than the Coal trains that ran that year.New year, new op patterns (second sunday where a train releases authority in daylight in a row), and new faith in the Lehigh Spur. Let's go! |
